Sebism

Love-Tolerance-Movement

Sebism is not a religion although it has a saint and a spiritual leader in Father Seb

Love and tolerance are common denominators of many religions, but the addition of movement is the essence of Sebism.

Sebism sees all people as nomads. We all wander physically, spiritually and morally.

We are seekers but the search often leads to self destruction, and self destruction will most likely cause misery and misery is contagious. Sebism does not have a set of rules as in commandments. Love and tolerance seem to do the trick and are more than enough for the common man to grasp. The common man has a hard enough time with his own guilt and inadequacy, and doesn’t need the extra strain of the possibility of eternal punishment for a life riddled by poor judgment and short sight fullness.

Sebism sees the beauty in the outcast; Father Seb preaches tolerance and love to the roaming individual without confusing him further with conventional religion. Should he roam from Afghanistan to the streets of Rome he can find help in Sebism without being told that his childhood faith is bogus and that his redemption can be found in say; Catholicism.

If Father Seb indeed had a church it would be a “bring your own God” church, hence tolerance.

Sebism realises that not all people are prone to, or physically capable of, or perhaps interested in delving in existentialism. For some feeding pigeons from a park bench, or exploring the universe of rhythm and melody are so all engulfing that time is as short as their attention span beyond the love of their favourite pastimes.

Father Seb has no pockets, Father Seb has no church, Father Seb has no radio or TV station, Father Seb owns no land, Father Seb has no money and therefore needs no pockets. Father Seb is not out to get your dollar, money leads to greed and greed is not compatible with his life style.

Father Seb has a band. Fathers Seb loves music, feel free to join his band and feel free to sing your own songs. Look to trash grass for inspiration.
